Czech/Czechoslovak standard. 5-digit numeric code (e.g. 11 373). Largely superseded by EN in CZ.
EN (European)
Current European standard. Symbolic name: S355J2, C45, X5CrNi18-10. Used across EU.
W.Nr. (Werkstoffnummer)
German material number, 1.XYYY format. Widely used in catalogues and drawings. EN 10027-2.
DIN (old German)
Legacy German standard (St37, Ck45, 42CrMo4). Still widely used in industry despite EN adoption.
AISI / SAE
American system. 304, 316, 4140, 1045 etc. UNS (G/S/T prefix) is the formal US designation.
